Dear “Morgan Family”,
As you all recall, due to the extreme heat of June 30th, we found it necessary to cancel our Family Reunion Mass scheduled for 4:00 PM that afternoon. When I called Bishop Choby to tell him about our change of plans, I told him that we were not only concerned about his being exposed to such dangerously high temperatures, but were also afraid that the heat might serve as a major “counter-productive” distraction and a possible health concern for us as well.
Immediately, and very graciously, Bishop Choby suggested that we not cancel the Mass all together, but instead, re-schedule it. The Bishop also recommended that we possibly consider having the Mass at St. George’s Chapel at Camp Marymount.
When I called to inquire about the “availability” of St. George’s Chapel, I was told that both the chapel and the grounds at Camp Marymount were booked solid through May, 2013. Trying to schedule a Mass at a parish church was a challenge due to the regular weekend agenda: regularly-scheduled Masses, weddings, etc..
Fortunately, however, we have finally been able to secure a place and time for our Morgan Family Liturgy:

I hope each of you will make time for this wonderful opportunity to pray together as a Family. Through the years, we have laughed together and cried together. We have shared each others' trials, successes, heartaches and joys. As a Family, we have recognized that our Faith in God is the one certain and unrelenting source of our strength as well as our unrelenting spirit of love and unity. How fitting it is, then, that we come together to celebrate the Eucharist, the ultimate manifestation of God’s Love and Mercy toward each of us individually... and as a Family!
